What is thermodynamics?

Thermodynamics is a branch of physics which deals with the energy and work of a system.

It defines macroscopic variables, such as internal energy, entropy, and pressure, that partly describe a body of matter or radiation.

Thermodynamics applies to a wide variety of topics in science and engineering, especially physical chemistry, chemical engineering andmechanical engineering

How your food stays fresh?

¡¡The refrigeration!!, the basic idea behind refrigeration is to slow down the activity of bacteria (which all food contains) so that it takes longer for the bacteria to spoil the food.

How a refrigerator works?

The Reversed Carnot Cycle
Reversing the Carnot cycle does reverse the directions of heat and work interactions. A refrigerator or heat pump that operates on the reversed Carnot cycle is called a Carnot refrigerator or a Carnot heat pump.
